Couples & Individual Therapy for Keller, Online

Online couples therapy and marriage counseling for Keller residents, from my Southlake-based practice. For partners who love each other but have started to feel more like co-managers than a couple.

Online couples therapy for Keller, TX

I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Southlake. I've worked with North Texas couples since 2010, and my practice has been fully online since 2020. I don't have an office in Keller. Instead, Keller couples meet with me by secure video from home, or from any private space in Texas.

Has communication become a chore? Does conflict feel unproductive and exhausting? Do you wish for a deeper connection but aren't sure where to start? Couples therapy is a place to rebuild, reconnect, and revive your relationship.

From partners to co-managers

Keller is full of young and growing families, and I hear a familiar story from parents here. You're a great team on logistics. You know who has the Keller ISD pickup, who's driving to the weekend tournament, and who's handling the dentist. But somewhere along the way, nearly every conversation became a handoff, and the two of you stopped feeling like a couple.

It rarely happens because of one big rupture. It happens in small moments. One of you makes a bid for attention, a comment, a touch, a "look at this," and the other is too depleted to notice. Do that a few hundred times and you end up lonely in a full house.

In therapy, we look at that pattern without blame. We get curious about what each of you is longing for underneath the irritation, and we practice small, realistic habits of turning toward each other, the kind that fit into a week with soccer practice in it. Something small to try this week

If you're not quite ready to start therapy, here's an experiment. Once a week, sit down together for twenty minutes with no phones and no logistics. Each of you answers three questions:

  1. What felt good between us this week?
  2. What was hard for me this week, inside or outside our relationship?
  3. What's one thing I could use from you in the week ahead?

The listener's only job is to understand, not to fix or defend. If that conversation keeps sliding into the same old argument, that's useful information too. It usually means there's a pattern underneath worth slowing down together, and that's exactly the kind of thing we can work on in couples therapy.

Why online works for Keller families

For a lot of Keller couples, the barrier to therapy isn't motivation. It's time. Commutes down I-35W or around Loop 820, jobs out toward Alliance or across the Metroplex, and a house full of activity make a weekly drive to an office one more thing to coordinate.

With online sessions, there's no drive and often no need for a sitter, as long as you can find a private room and a closed door. Evening availability is limited, so I'll be honest with you about my openings during your phone consultation, and we'll look for a time that can actually hold.

What we work on

In couples therapy, we explore the assumptions and emotional blocks that get in the way of intimacy and healthy communication. I get to know each of you, and I also focus on the space between you, where "you and me" becomes "us." Keller couples often come in with:

  • Communication problems and the same argument on repeat
  • Fading closeness and intimacy after kids
  • Different parenting styles creating tension between you
  • Trust repair after an affair or broken promise

I draw on the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, mindfulness, and skill-building. See my couples and marriage therapy page for more.

How it works

New couples start with a free phone consultation, which I require before the first appointment. Both partners attend from the first session. We meet on SimplePractice's secure telehealth platform, and both of you need to be in Texas during the session.

Couples sessions are $230 and individual sessions are $200. I'm out of network with all insurance and can give you a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement. More on my rates and insurance page.

Individual therapy for Keller adults

Not here as a couple? This is for you, too.

I work primarily with couples and with individual adults. If you live in Keller and want space of your own to work through anxiety, low mood, self-esteem, identity, a life transition or the patterns that keep showing up in your relationships, individual therapy gives you that, by secure video from home.

For deeper, focused work, I also offer individual therapy intensives. Individual sessions are $200 for 45 to 55 minutes, and every new client starts with a free phone consultation.

Questions

Therapy in Keller: FAQs

Do you have an office in Keller?

No. My practice is online only, and I'm based in Southlake. Keller couples meet with me by secure video (or phone) from home or any private space in Texas. Since 2020 I haven't seen clients in person, which means no drive, no waiting room, and no sitter needed as long as you have a private room.

Can we have sessions after the kids go to bed?

My evening availability is limited, so I can't promise late slots. During our free phone consultation, I'll tell you honestly what times I have open. Many parents find a lunch hour or a work-from-home morning works better than they expected, since there's no commute on either end.

Do you see children or teens?

No. I work with adults 18 and older: couples, individuals, and adult families. If your child or teen needs support, I'd encourage you to look for a therapist who specializes in working with young people. Couples therapy can still help the two of you get on the same page as parents.

What approaches do you use with couples?

I integrate the Gottman Method (Level 1 trained), Emotionally Focused Therapy (externship trained), Internal Family Systems, mindfulness, cognitive therapy, and practical skill-building in communication and coping. I don't apply one model rigidly. I adapt to what the two of you need.

How often will we meet for couples therapy in Keller?

I recommend weekly sessions at the beginning so we can build momentum and get to know each other. If you'd prefer every other week, I'll usually ask that the first three sessions be weekly. Once you're maintaining positive changes, we can space sessions out.
