Couples & Individual Therapy for Grapevine, Online

Marriage counseling and couples therapy for Grapevine residents by secure video, from my Southlake-based practice. No commute and no waiting room, just the two of you and the work.

Online couples therapy for Grapevine, TX

I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Southlake, practicing in North Texas since 2010 and fully online since 2020. I don't have an office in Grapevine. Instead, I serve Grapevine residents by secure video, and you join from home or any private space in Texas.

Has communication become a chore? Does conflict feel unproductive and exhausting? Do you want a deeper, more fulfilling connection but aren't sure where to start? Couples therapy can give you the chance to rebuild, reconnect, and revive your relationship.

When one of you is always coming or going

Grapevine sits right up against DFW Airport, and plenty of couples here have lives built around it: pilots, flight attendants, consultants, sales teams, anyone whose calendar is written in departure times. Even if you don't work in aviation, living this close to the airport often means someone in the house is on the road a lot.

Travel-heavy relationships have their own rhythm and their own predictable friction:

  • The re-entry fight, that tense first evening home when one of you wants to rest and the other has been running the household alone for four days.
  • Two separate routines that never quite merge back into one.
  • Saving hard conversations for "when you're home," then not wanting to spend your precious time together on them.
  • Loneliness on both sides that each partner keeps to themselves.

None of this means something is wrong with you. It means your relationship needs some deliberate care. In therapy, we can map the pattern, get clear on what each of you needs at departure and at return, and build small rituals of reconnection that hold up under a busy schedule. Online sessions help here too, because we can plan around the weeks you're both in town.

Small rituals for travel-heavy couples

You don't need a perfect schedule to stay close. A few rituals I often suggest:

  • A departure check-in. Before a trip, take ten minutes to name what's coming up for each of you that week, so nobody gets blindsided.
  • A soft landing. Agree in advance on the first hour home: a hug and a quiet drink before anyone hands over a to-do list.
  • One real conversation per trip. Not logistics. A call about how you're actually doing.
  • A standing time for hard topics. Choosing a set time keeps difficult conversations from either taking over your reunion or never happening at all.

These aren't magic. They're scaffolding. Therapy helps with what's underneath, the feelings that make reconnecting hard in the first place.

Why online sessions suit Grapevine life

Grapevine has a charm all its own, from historic Main Street to the festival weekends that fill downtown. It's also a place where crossing SH 114 or 121 at the wrong hour can swallow an evening. Meeting by video means no drive, no parking, and no running into a neighbor in a lobby. You close a door at home and you're in session within a minute.

The patterns we work on show up at home, so practicing new ways of talking in the room where you actually argue tends to stick. If video feels awkward at first, tell me. Most couples settle in quickly, and phone sessions are also available.

What we can work on together

In couples therapy, we explore the assumptions and emotional blocks that get in the way of intimacy and healthy communication. I get to know each of you, and I also pay close attention to the space between you, where "you and me" becomes "we." Grapevine couples often reach out about:

I integrate the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, mindfulness, and practical skill-building. Learn more on my couples and marriage therapy page. Getting started

Every new couple begins with a free phone consultation, which I require before the first appointment. After that, both partners attend together from the first session, because the relationship is my focus. We meet on SimplePractice, a secure telehealth platform, and both of you need to be located in Texas during the session.

Couples sessions are $230 and individual sessions are $200. I'm out of network with all insurance, and I provide superbills you can submit for out-of-network reimbursement. See rates and insurance for the details.

About me

People and the way they relate to each other have fascinated me since I was young. I trained at Northwestern University's The Family Institute, have been a licensed Texas LMFT since 2009, and have kept learning through Gottman Method Level 1 training, an EFT externship, IFS, and several Esther Perel programs on modern love and infidelity. Individual therapy for Grapevine adults

Not here as a couple? This is for you, too.

I work primarily with couples and with individual adults. If you live in Grapevine and want space of your own to work through anxiety, low mood, self-esteem, identity, a life transition or the patterns that keep showing up in your relationships, individual therapy gives you that, by secure video from home.

For deeper, focused work, I also offer individual therapy intensives. Individual sessions are $200 for 45 to 55 minutes, and every new client starts with a free phone consultation.

Questions

Therapy in Grapevine: FAQs

Do you have an office in Grapevine?

No. My practice is online only. I'm based in Southlake, right next door, but every session happens by secure video or phone. Grapevine couples join from home or another private space in Texas. I'm upfront about this because I'd rather you know exactly what to expect before your free phone consultation.

Can we do sessions if one of us travels for work out of DFW Airport?

Yes, as long as both of you are physically in Texas at the time of the session. I'm licensed in Texas only, so I can't provide therapy to a partner who is in another state that day. If one of you is out of state that week, we'll simply schedule around the trip.

Is online couples therapy private?

I use SimplePractice, a confidential telehealth platform built for healthcare, and never Skype or FaceTime. On your end, privacy means a room with a closed door where neither of you will be overheard by kids, roommates, or coworkers. Many Grapevine couples like that there's no lobby where they might run into someone they know.

How much does couples therapy cost for Grapevine couples?

Couples sessions are $230 for 45 to 55 minutes. I'm out of network with all insurance companies, so you pay at the time of the session and I provide a receipt (superbill) for out-of-network reimbursement. HSA and FSA cards are accepted with a backup card on file.

Do you offer couples intensives?

Yes. Online couples therapy intensives run a minimum of three hours, over one or more days. They can be a good fit when travel makes weekly sessions hard, or when you want focused time on one major issue. Please contact me for intensive rates.
