You're feeling drained and stuck. You manage to get out of bed and make it to work or school, but it feels like a constant battle. You remember a time when things felt easier, but you're not sure how to get back to that place. Everyone feels down or unmotivated at times, but this heaviness has started to feel like part of your everyday life.
You catch yourself thinking:
"Nothing will ever change."
"I'm going to be alone forever."
"Why bother trying?"
You notice yourself feeling:
sad
lonely
worried
heartbroken
worthless
Your body feels:
exhausted
weighed down
jittery
tense
As your therapist, I will look at your behaviors and overall health to find areas where we can work on improving. We will also talk about the thoughts that might be making you feel down, such as negative self-talk, unhelpful beliefs about yourself and the world, or seeing things in extreme, all-or-nothing ways.
Often, changing the way you think can help change the way you feel. I will help you recognize, understand, and express your emotions in a way that is healthy and calming. Being able to handle and share your feelings can make life more enjoyable and fulfilling.
If needed, we can talk about your personal and family history to better understand your mood and how to work through it. This process might take some time, but I will be here to support you as we navigate this difficult experience together.
I’ve worked with hundreds of people like you who realize it’s time for a change. With years of experience in mental health and training in various techniques, I’m here to help you build the skills you need to take care of yourself.
Many of the people I work with start to feel more in tune with themselves, strengthen their relationships, and handle life’s challenges with greater confidence and resilience.
